Finding My Signature Summer Scent

If you are anything like me, you probably spend way too much time scrolling through beauty reviews trying to find that one product that actually lives up to the talk. I have gone through so many perfumes and body sprays that either smell like a middle school locker room or disappear the second I walk out the front door. It is honestly exhausting. Recently, I decided to try something a bit different and opted for a hair and body mist instead of a traditional perfume. I wanted something that felt like a vacation without the expensive plane ticket, and I think I finally found a winner that I will be keeping in my rotation for a long time.

Why I Love Hair and Body Mists

There is just something so much more casual about a mist compared to a heavy eau de parfum. Especially during the summer months when it is hot and humid, the last thing I want is a thick scent sitting on my skin. I love being able to spray something in my hair because the scent seems to linger every time I move. It feels a lot more natural and less like I am trying too hard. I have tried a few different brands lately, but the one I just got my hands on really stands out because of how light it feels while still smelling expensive. It is the perfect middle ground for a girl in her twenties who wants to smell good at the office but also while hanging out at a backyard barbecue.

My Honest Review

Tropical Summer Dreams

I have been looking for a scent that actually makes me feel like I am on a beach and this one really hits the mark. It starts out smelling like fresh citrus and dragon fruit which is so refreshing when it is hot outside. I love that it is a mist so it feels light on my skin and I can spray it in my hair without it feeling sticky or weird. It has this floral sweetness to it that is not too much but still stays with you throughout the morning. I have used it every day since I got it and I honestly look forward to that first spray after my shower.

The bottle is super easy to throw in my bag for work or a weekend trip which is really nice because it is not heavy at all. One thing I noticed is that the scent stays in my hair for a long time but it seems to fade a bit faster on my actual skin. I would probably change the formula just a little bit to help it stick to the skin longer so I do not have to reapply it as often. Even with that small thing I still think it is a great choice if you want to smell like a tropical vacation without it being too heavy.

The Best Way To Wear It

After using this for a week, I have figured out the best way to make the most of it. I usually start with a few sprays on my pulse points right after I put on my unscented lotion. That seems to help the scent hold on just a little bit better. Then, I do two big sprays right over my hair while it is still a little damp from the shower. Since the scent has notes of orange blossom and tuberose, it really opens up as it warms up on your skin. It is not one of those scents that people smell before you even enter the room, but people will definitely notice it when they get close to you.

Final Thoughts on the Experience

Overall, I am really happy with this purchase and I think it is worth the price for the amount of product you get. It is rare to find a scent that feels both young and sophisticated at the same time. Most tropical sprays end up smelling like a cheap coconut tanning oil, but this feels way more elevated than that. If you are looking for a gift for a friend or just want to treat yourself to a little bit of luxury for your daily routine, I would definitely suggest giving this a try. It has definitely made my morning routine a lot more enjoyable and I love catching a whiff of it throughout the day.
